Whistler is a town of adventure and experiences which extends to the food scene. There is no list of 10 restaurants that could really speak to the variety, quality, and boldness of Whistler’s restaurateurs.

El Furny | Budget Friendly Party Bar
El Furniture Warehouse “El Furny” is the go to place for affordable pub food and the ski-bum lifestyle. You’ll be shocked to hear that you can go to a Whistler restaurant and order a meal starting at $5.95. Better yet El Furny is an authentic Whistler experience, complete with local hospitality, snowboard edits, and cheap drinks. Located on the village stroll and with a line of eager guests, El Furny’s is impossible to miss.
Creekbread | Organic Wood-Fire Pizzeria
The original Whistler Village of Creekside is home to Creekbread. The restaurant offers everything a pizza lover would want: home made sauces, organic doughs, local ingredients, and a wood-fire oven. They menu offers an unreal list of veggie, vegan, and carne pizzas. Best pizza in town, period.
Araxi | Farm to Table Dining & Oyster Bar
Found in the heart of Whistler is Araxi Restaurant & Oyster Bar. Araxi is among the top culinary experiences in town. Executive chefs James Walt and Jeff Park have a passion for “farm to table” cuisine that ensures the freshest ingredients possible. When visiting spend the day and enjoy the masterful 5 course meal, which on occasion can be as affordable as $37 per guest, which is more than worth it.
Crêpe Montagne | French Sweet & Savory Crêperie
Nestled on Whistler’s Main Street is Crêpe Montagne, the unmatched Whistler destination for mouth-watering crepes. Complete with a list of savory and sweet crepes, fondues, and deserts; Crêpe Montagne is an authentic French cuisine delight. The restaurant is cozy, bustling, and full of smells that’ll draw you away from the village stroll, into their door, and sitting down for some delicious crepes.
Brewhouse | Brewpub & Pub Fare Restaurant
Neighbouring Whistler Olympic Park is the Brewhouse (aka High Mountain Brewing). This bar and restaurant hosts one of the largest patios in town plus made-on-site local craft beer! Part of the collection of breweries throughout the Sea-to-Sky Corridor, the Brewhouse stands out with it’s unbelievable location and cozy Whistler design. The menu includes bar food classics and modern upscale entrees.
La Cantina | Authentic Mexican Tacos & Burritos
Tacos, burritos, quesadillas, margaritas, and beer! La Cantina is simple delicious. There are two La Cantina locations in Whistler: the original found in Whistler Marketplace and it’s Lucha libre themed twin in the Nesters region. La Cantina offers unreal, authentic, Mexican burritos that will not leave you hungry but still craving for more.
Hunter Gather | Gastropub & Craft Beer
The newest restaurant on this list, Hunter Gather, is found on the corner of Main Street and Northlands Blvd. This gastropub offers a great brunch menu full off eggs bennys and a lunch/dinner menu of sandwich favourites. Topped off with a killer list of craft beers and my personal favourite cocktail, Luke’s Signature Caesar. Hunter Gather is great relaxed hangout for great drinks and better food.
Rimrock Café | Fresh Seafood & Wine Cellar
Arguably the most premier restaurant in Whistler is the Rimrock Café. The Rimrock has a superb menu of upscale seafood entrees and appetizers; topped off with the best wine list in the region found in Rimrock’s wine cellar. The atmosphere is rustic yet elegant and the service is 5 stars. The Rimrock is a must stop restaurant for those looking for top of class service, food, and experience.
Southside Diner | Classic Diner & Hostel
Odd to jump from Whistler’s highest class restaurant to a local diner but Southside is unmissable and warrants being featured on this list. You’ve probably seen the hostel/diner many times while driving into and out of town. Southside is a staple of the community and a great hangover cure. Its breakfasts are perfect for the morning after your Whistler night out and you have to admire it’s no bullshit philosophy.
Bearfoot Bistro | Fine Dining & Vodka Lounge
If you’re looking for an experience, head to the Bearfoot Bistro. Enjoy five courses, meet the Executive Chef, open champagne with a saber, visit the Ketel One Ice Room, head to the wine cellar, have a drink the in the Champagne Lounge, or relax on the patio. Few restaurants offer as much high-class experience as Bearfoot Bistro and none do it better.
